C20C forcing fields

This page describes how to include natural and anthropogenic forcings in atmosphere-only models. In the C20C project, the following four forcings are to be be included:

HadISST1 sea surface temperature and sea ice (Rayner et al.).
Use of HadISST and production of SST and sea ice forcing data sets using Karl Taylor's procedure.
Changes in concentrations of stratospheric aerosols due to volcanic eruptions.
Changes in concentration of carbon dioxide.
Stratospheric ozone depletion.
